It's time to get away from the everyday, and take an escape to some of the best scenery that Scotland has to offer! We’ve got thick, green forests, inspiring mountains, and the gentle babbling of the River Earn, and these are all within view of your log cabin with a hot tub. If you’re wanting even more, then there’s Loch Earn 5 minutes away in the car. There’s so much on offer here to help you recharge your batteries, so we’ve made it easy for you to help you focus on spending time on you when you get here.

If you want to bag your first munro, we’ve got you covered with 3 to choose from within an hour’s drive from us. You could make things easier for yourself and pick Ben Chonzie. Not only is the walk relatively easy for a munro, but the start point is just a 15 minute drive away in the car. If you fancy something slightly more challenging, Ben Vorlich is a steeper summit to conquer. The drive to the start point is a nice one too along the South Loch Earn Road, and it will take you 15 minutes again.

If you want a more gentle walk, we have fantastic walks you can take directly from the front door of your log cabin. Our riverside trail along our bank of the River Earn is your gateway to relaxation. Sit by the river and meditate, or continue your stroll over the nearby roadbridge and explore the railway footpath which connects Crieff, Comrie and St Fillans. Walk up towards St Fillans and take in the spectacular views of Loch Earn.

Once you’ve burnt all those calories, it’s time to sample the local produce. Comrie Croft should be your first port of call. Their friends at Tomnah’a Market Garden keep them well stocked with seasonal fruit, veg and flowers, all grown and handpicked using organic methods at the bottom of our road so there are zero food miles. There’s also delicious artisan sourdough bread and pastries from John at Wild Hearth Bakery, fresh lamb meat from Carroglen Farm (just a few miles away), local Perthshire honey and lots more. Or why not book a course at the Scottish Tea Factory at Comrie Croft where you can learn about tea history and the Scottish pioneers who were involved in developing tea growing. Learn from tea expert Beverly Wainwright who has managed a tea estate and set up 3 small scale tea factories around the world. The course is run in a small working tea factory where you will see tea making equipment. You will learn the basics of tea brewing and taste 6 different teas from around the world. Booking is essential, so visit them here. Maybe chocolate is more up your street? Check out Charlotte Flowers on the south side of Loch tay, just an hour away from our log cabins. She combined her love of foraging with an introduction to the world of fresh fine chocolates and started her business in 2007. The flowers they use in their chocolates are all foraged from the wild and processed immediately in their home-based workshop so that flavours are still at their best, which enables them to follow the seasonal changes through the year.

If you need more outdoor action, there are plenty of adventure activities you can do near to us as well. Test your nerve and take a dip in Loch Earn. Many of the locals here like to exercise their tradition of going for a dook on New Year’s Day, a guaranteed hangover cure! Or for another wet adventure, check out the activities on offer from our friends at Beyond Adventure? You could spend half a day kayaking that will provide the ideal introduction to this amazing activity. They will begin with meeting your guide at their riverside base just beside the River Tay. They will choose the best venue for you - options include Loch Faskally, Loch Tay or the River Lyon and River Tay. No previous experience is required, their expert guides will introduce you to the skills needed to paddle safely. During the half day on their boards you will paddle through the beautiful Perthshire scenery and experience a side of nature that is seldom witnessed.

Or if all of that sounds far too exhausting, then make things easier for yourself and book one of our log cabins with hot tubs. Sit back and relax, feeling the jets massage your back. If the weather is in your favour, take the opportunity to sit under the stars while keeping nice and toasty in the water. Just remember to bring your towel out with you!
