If you’re looking for a few days away from your everyday life, this is the place for you. Bring the dog as well, and explore all of the countryside nearby. We’ve got so many walking trails suitable for dogs for you to discover, some directly from your cabin, and more in the nearby villages of Comrie and St Fillans.

One of our favourite walks from Comrie is the Lednock Circular walk which will take you along the River Lednock. There are many places to take a break and look over the beautiful landscapes. One of our favourite places is the viewpoint over Comrie at the top of a large set of wooden steps. Not only are the views of the village stunning, but the setting is something quite special with many different species of heather surrounding you on the hardy rock. Other treats in store for you on this walk include passing the Deil’s Cauldron and the Wee Cauldron. Take a few minutes to stop, sit, and listen to the power of the water cascading through the gorge while you get the sandwiches and tea flask out. You can access this walk within a 5 minute drive from the cabins.

If you want a walk directly from your front door, we’d definitely recommend the railway path behind the cabins. Walk up towards St Fillans and take in the spectacular views of Loch Earn, or head the opposite direction and walk to the Dalchonzie car park in 40 minutes. Revive your inner child and picture yourself at the front of the train steaming it’s way through this secluded forest path. Or take a detour and veer off the path, following the bends of the River Earn.

If you need more outdoor action, there are plenty of adventure activities you can do near to us as well. Test your nerve and take a dip in Loch Earn. Many of the locals here like to exercise their tradition of going for a dook on New Year’s Day, a guaranteed hangover cure!
